Shower Time!

My sister-in-laws were kind enough to throw a shower for me and our little guy (nope... no name yet!) They went all out with delicious Cafe Rio salad and awesome treats (Linz you know that cream cheese apple dip was to die for! I won't tell anyone where you got the idea (wink wink!)) I really appreciate them for doing this even though one lives in Provo, UT and the other has to take care of twins on a daily basis! Love you guys!! Here's some pics (thanks to Desi for taking all the pics, you were so busy I didn't get any of you lol!)

Pioneer Day Weekend

So.. Pioneer Day was like a couple weekends ago, and I know I'm a little late. But hey my life motto is "better late than never!" Because seriously, I'm late for everything (It's a sickness and I desperately need help!) But anywho, we decided to spend the weekend of the 24th in St. George with Ryan's sister Lindsi, her hubbs Robbie, and our niece and nephew. We had so much fun!! Tyler and Courtney came up later and we had an yummy BBQ dinner at the house. At night they had an awesome fireworks show, but unfortunately I didn't get any pics :( But these are some that I did get ( I was a little lazy that day, so these are pretty random!)

We had breakfast in the park before the Pioneer Parade. But..... we got the tail end of breakfast, oh and we missed the parade!! LOL, oh well, such is life. This is Shelby in a lil' skirt her mama made her :)

Our little nephew Madden. He is always just grins and giggles!! We love him soo much!

Family love :) I seriously feel soo blessed to be a part of this family...

Later we went to a friend's pool, and the guy's were showing off some sweet diving skills

Haha even from this angle I can see the fear in his face!!

Shelby and her auntie Lindsi. She looooves her some Lindsi!!!

Our one and only niece Bostyn... she's such a doll! Just soaking in the rays.... well not really, I think her mom applied sunblock like 5 times along with a hat and pool shade for her!! I wish you could see how cute her swimsuit is though!

Thanks for the fun! We love you guys!!

The 4th with the Fam

We had a pretty lax 4th of July this year. Ryan, Shelby and I went to Ryan's grandmas for a little BBQ time and well... thats pretty much it! It was fun, plus Ryan took the following day off so it felt like a little mini vacation!
The 4th of July cake me and Shelby made. She looves to help in the kitchen! She helped me add the ingredients and color the batter. Her favorite thing is cracking eggs, so cute! I have a feeling shes going to be my little chef.
The cousins... Brooke and Wyatt in all their cuteness
Tana, Tracy and Ryan's Grandma Linda (Shelby calls her grandma kitty)
Serious cousin love! Shelby and Mallory love to play together, they were soo adorable!

When we got home we wanted to do some fireworks for Shelby. We were excited, but Shelby...
...... wanted absolutely nothing to do with it!!!

Funness in the Sunness...

This last week my pasty white skin was exposed to mass amounts of UV rays, and the weekend was no exception! A while back a friend of mine told me about the Whitney Ranch outdoor rec/pool center. Since our lovely city decided to get rid of the only water park for hundreds of miles (and that should be illegal in the desert!), I thought this would be a fun way to spend our weekend. It was sooo much fun! Shelby loved it! At first she was a little apprehensive to leave the side of the pool because too many kids or things might "splash" her face, she eventually got over it and had a hoot! I love spending time with my family at the pool, and my brother even showed up and hung out for a while. (sorry for all the pics, I just found my other camera and I went a little crazy!)

Shelby and her uncle Jarris. She already looks irritated with pictures!

My popsicle queen. It's usually the first thing she asks for when she wakes up.

My handsome hubbs :)

A rare family shot. I realized that i've already taken over 500 pics this year (and baby #2 isn't even here yet!!) and out of those maybe five include the three of us!

The ever-growing baby bump (almost 31 weeks!)

My little bubbas! I love him so....

My bro William, Amanda and Gauge

The childrenz are all tuckered out :)

Happy summer everyone!!!!

Disneyland Days....with a 2-year old!!

So this year for our family vacation, we decided to take Shelby to Disneyland. We went once a few years ago before we had her and we had a blast, so we thought "this is going to be soo much fun, she's going to looove it!!" Well.... the trip overall was fun, but Disneyland wasn't quite what we were expecting. We bought 2-day park hopper tickets (which by the way is TON of money, and we didn't even pay for her!) in advance online. So that first day we got up early and drove straight there.
We woke her up at 6am, and she didn't sleep a wink the whole way up there. So that means by the time we got there she was ready for a nap. This pic is of her passed out as we're just pulling up to Disneyland! Part of me wanted to let her sleep, but since we already spend a ton in tickets we didn't want to waste the day!

Shelby waiting for the monorail, she was soo excited about the "bus". I'm pretty sure we could have rode this all day and she would have had a blast...

Shelby on the carousel.. thats right, the carousel. Not on a ride, or seeing Mickey Mouse, but on the same kind of carousel they have at our local mall. This was one of the only things that she could go on that was age appropriate and didn't have a ridiculously long line! We probably went on it 15 times!

Shelby and dad in front of Sleeping Beauty's castle. Oh and that was another thing, our camera's memory card was acting up so we got barely any pics. Most of them are on Ryan's phone. She got really cranky and didn't understand why she had to wait sooo long to go on rides, not pleasant!
NOTE TO SELF: 1) Don't take a 2 year old to Disneyland. Way too much going on for them, and without a nap they're going to be cranky no matter where you are! Not worth the money!!!
2) Never go in June, or summertime for that matter! It was soo packed with families that have kids that just got out of school. Im not exaggerating when I say that every ride for Shelby was an hour wait! And no, most of her rides didn't have fast passes available.
3) Don't go to a theme park for 2 days when your 7 months pregnant. We walked... a lot! My back was so shot by the time we got back to the motel!
On the next leg of our trip, after we were done at Disneyland, we took Shelby to the Santa Ana Zoo. She loved it! She loves animals anyway, so Im glad we went. This is us in the "farm animal" area.
Haha they have fake cow that you can "milk" (its actually just water, but still fun!) Shelby barely got up to the cow before it mooed, then she ran off cause it scared her. But now she walks around telling people that she milked a cow :)
My favorite thing about our trip was all the time she got to spend with her dad. It was much needed since he's such a busy guy with work and school! It made the whole trip worth it. She was his little buddy.. so cute!
Day three we hit up the zoo and the beach. When we got to the beach she had also just fallen asleep in the car so she was a little cranky at first, but then she had lots of fun! She still asks me everyday if can go to the beach, oh and if she can milk a cow too!

We had a lot of fun overall, but we learned a lot. Like the fact that it doesn't take much for a 2- year old to have a good time. The zoo and the beach would have been plenty of fun for her. Oh well, you live and learn. I still like Disneyland, but next time we go she'll be quite a bit older and not nearly as busy. I loved the quality family time though, it was so overdue!
